Drunk: A Poem

Where is the weirdest place you've had a drink?

I was in the shower

A can in one hand and shampoo in the other

I probably looked ridiculous

Belting out some forgotten hit from the 90s

Singing into the can as if it were a microphone.

Sober me would be so disappointed

She worries far more about our appearance than drunk me

She's embarrassed by me

She hates me

Even when there is no one there to see us.
